Just wanted to share a commercial that just aired. It’s for JCP and I love it!

This commercial really hits the spot. I think that anybody that has ever been confused, deceived or upset after a deal went live can relate to this (price change suck! except when you can cash in lol). Great work on the strategy and kudos to the creative team that brought it to life.

I also like the Facebook app tied into the campaign. You can redeem coupon from the FB page. But instead of just grabbing it, you’ll have to cut it. With virtual scissors. I’m not joking.

The real star on the page is the “No! Meter”. It lets you scream “No!” and release the frustration of confusing deals. A lot of fun! but you might want to wait until you get home to try it. Except if you have a soundproof room in your office, then of course you can go ahead and indulge.

Still i’m curious about the change. Did you know that the interior designer behind the Apple store is involved with JCP new design? Interesting right? we shall wait and see what happens.

The olympic games are just around the corner. I can’t wait for the opening ceremony. China raised the bar last time and I can’t wait to see what England is going to come up with. The british creative community is by far the most innovative (close to the top with Brazil) so this should be exciting.

Before we get there, i want to salute BP’s interactive initiative with augmented reality. BP is one of the official sponsor of Team USA and they just unleashed a digital campaign in partnership with Bloomberg and Facebook.

They created the Facebook BP Team USA page and are inviting Fans to have a face to face with selected athletes hopefuls through augmented reality.

U.S. Olympic and Paraylmpic athletes featured in the exclusive trading card series include:

• Lolo Jones – Track & Field, 100m Hurdler
• Tatyana McFadden – Paralympic Cycling, Wheelchair
• Sanya Richards-Ross – Track & Field, 400m Sprinter
• Bryan Clay – Track & Field, Decathlon
• Rudy Garcia-Tolson – Paralympic Swimming, 100m and 200m Swimmer
• Jonathan Horton – Gymnastics

The idea is simple. Collect player cards from Bloomberg magazine (Heard businessweek will have then too). Connect to the BP Team USA page and your webcam and AR magic will do the rest.,

Each athlete shares their hopes and dreams, training tips and what it takes to get to the next level. This is my new favorite use of Augmented Reality. AR has a lot of promising capabilities. Can’t wait for what’s next.

The most blatant display of my geek-ness is my love for data. Any type of data: Useful, useless, fun, facts, fun-facts, or plain weird bits. I love data! Research too but a bit less. Today i want to share with you a campaign that uses all sorts of data to showcase the uniqueness of a product. “One Hour per second”

I love this campaign. It uses all the bits of information that you can find browsing the product (Youtube) and at the same time creates an animated infographic. Really nice execution from Google creative labs.

If you go to the website they created, you can find more fun facts and…some random information. At the same time, isn’t that what Youtube is all about? Finding things you need, or care to know about. And at the same time leisure off looking at “funny videos”.

I laud them for creating a campaign that genuinely captures the essence of Youtube.

Just wanted to share a cool little website with you today. A new execution from W+K New York for the launch of the new CP3.V  . The campaign plays around the quickness of CP3 (recreated by the shoe for you) and the chaos that it creates and contains at the same time (oxymoron?). Things happen so fast that a split second of inattention can engender…you guessed it Chaos. Here’s the teaser for the campaign:

The real feat of this campaign lies in the deep levels of interaction with the footage. First you have total control over it:speed, zoom, angles. It’s very refreshing. Watching the video on the website will trigger cue points prompting hidden story lines. Here’s a screenshot of my favorite side story. A couple rekindling/falling in “love” while a cook on fire walks past. Like i said it’s very entertaining. (I spent like an hour on there for no reason lool)

The whole experience is also a game. Unlocking each side story/perspective will help you piece the story together. They were thoughtful enough to add a dashboard to help you keep track of your progress.

I don’t know if i said it already but I really like this project. It’s engaging, entertaining and somewhat addictive. It’s also a conversation piece. I’m sure people are talking about it as we speak. (Top of mind awareness achieved) To a certain extent it reminds me of Philips Caroussel. Both pieces have longevity and relevance. This just might be the referral piece for a lot web projects this year.
