Vodafone Symphonia

Here’s the new spot for Vodafone New Zealand. The spot, titled Symphonia, could be considered as an answer to, or inspired by AkQA’s christmas wish. Instead of using microwaves, they opted for cellphones. Makes sense since it’s…well… Vodafone. The execution is well done, the visual sequence of the phones reminds a bit of an equalizer (or it’s just me) which adds to the effect. They used a 1000 cell phones, running 53 ringtones to realize this commercial. The piece: Tchaikovsky’s 1812 ouverture. Enjoy.

While looking around i also found the making of videos for this little commercial. Very interesting process. Even more complicated than what i expected. You can check those videos in the continuation.
