it’s that time of the year dedicated to teaching. I’m back in the motherland, on tour, teaching the wonders of strategic planning. (account planning/brand planning).
It’s a very fulfilling experience and our network of professionals donating their talent to the cause keep on growing. I couldn’t imagine a year ago that I would be able to rally that many renowned Advertising people to come down to Cameroon and share their talent for free. Yes Free!
It took a lot of planning form my part, schmoozing and fund raising. I can honestly say that i added two more skills to my tool kit. Grant/proposal writing and International negotiation.
This is just to say that we’re very much alive, just not able to blog as much as i wanted to…
In the coming weeks i will share two articles/case studies. “How to do business in Africa”. Since everyone from Google to Hugo Boss are moving to the continent chances are you thought about it too, but don’t know how. Fear not, i will help.
The second article “African Innovations”, deals with creativity in Africa. Except for some minor exception (with great international impact, i.e mobile currency which inspired the google wallet and other “innovations”, the health Tablet) Africans don’t create, but innovate. They use existing technologies and tools to creatively solve problems.
